Donald Frank Cheadle Jr. (; born Nov 29, 1964)[1] [2] is an American actor and filmmaker. He is the recipient of multiple accolades, including two Grammy Awards, two Aureate Earth Awards and 2 Screen Actors Gild Awards, in addition to nominations for an University Award, 2 British University Flick Awards and 11 Primetime Emmy Awards.

Early on life [edit]

Cheadle was built-in in Kansas City, Missouri to Bettye Cheadle (née North), a teacher, and Donald Frank Cheadle Sr., a clinical psychologist.[1] He has a sister, Cindy, and a blood brother, Colin. His family unit moved from urban center to city throughout his childhood. He attended Hartley Elementary School in Lincoln, Nebraska from 1970 to 1974.[5] Cheadle graduated in 1982 from East Loftier School in Denver, Colorado. During high schoolhouse, he played saxophone in the jazz band, sang in choirs, and was active in the theater department, performing in musicals, plays, and mime shows.[half dozen]

Cheadle became eligible for his Screen Actors Club card when he appeared as a burger joint employee in the 1985 comedy Moving Violations.[7] In 1987, he received a small role in the seventh season of Hill Street Blues, where he played a teenager with learning difficulties. In 2010, Cheadle assumed the role of Armed forces / James Rhodes in Fe Human 2 (2010), replacing Terrence Howard. Cheadle reprised this role in Iron Man 3 (2013), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018),[27] Avengers: Endgame (2019), and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021), and volition reprise the function in the upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion [28] and Armor Wars.[29] [30]

Cheadle has campaigned to terminate the genocide in Darfur, Sudan. Cheadle and John Prendergast co-authored a volume about this outcome entitled Not On Our Lookout man: The Mission to End Genocide in Darfur and Across. Personal life [edit]

In 2008, Cheadle's family history was profiled on the PBS series African American Lives 2. A DNA test revealed that Cheadle is of Cameroonian descent.[51] Some other DNA test revealed that among his African ancestry, one-third comes from the region from Senegal to Republic of liberia, just over one-quarter comes from the Congo-Republic of angola region, and the balance comes from western Nigeria and Benin.[52]

Cheadle married his long-time partner, actress and Rosewood co-star Bridgid Coulter,[53] [54] in early on 2020. The couple has been together for more 28 years and has two daughters.[55] [56] [57]
